Homemade Ice Cream

Quick and easy 30min activity for any time of the year. Its gets kids of all ages involved and excited...because who isnt excited about ice cream?!

1. 1/2 cup of milk

2. Pour into a pint sized ziploc bag. I used a bowl to help sturdy the bag esp. with the kids! (dont mind the spilt milk....nor the foot!)
Who is that mystery guest helping me out?

3. Add 1 Tablespoon of sugar.

4. Add in 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Seal the bag shut!

5. In a gallon sized bag, fill it half way up with ice.

6. Mystery Guest Chef! Riley (age 4.5 years) aka "Batman"!

7. Add, to the bag of ice, 6 tablespoons of rock salt.

7. (as you can see we had to improvise with the gallon sized bag) Now you just have to shake, shake, shake for 5mins.

8. Then open up your bags and you'll find your homemade ice cream!

9. Scoop and enjoy!

Chef LOVES it!

Other variations we made were: Mixed Berry
just added a 1/4 cup of different berries

A Lime Ice Cream
Just squeezed a little bit lime juice and added some ginger

♥ ♥ Thank Riley Bear for the wonderful ice cream!! We'll get to enjoy some more after dinner of course! ♥ ♥
